Terms of Service

By using BrightRubric, you agree to these terms. Accounts are for parents and guardians (adults). Students use the practice tool without an account.

The service

BrightRubric provides AI-assisted writing practice scored against a standard analytic writing rubric. Scores and feedback are generated automatically and are for practice and learning only. They are not official assessments, not a prediction of any test score, and not a substitute for a teacher.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis and renew until canceled. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; access continues through the end of the paid period.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for genuine writing practice. Do not attempt to disrupt the service, abuse the scoring API, or access other families' data.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is.” AI-generated scores and feedback can be imperfect. BrightRubric is not affiliated with or endorsed by any school, exam board, or government agency.

Deletion

You can delete a child profile or your entire account at any time; deleting the account cancels any active subscription and permanently removes your data.
